Brackett Monoyios Lemhi County Scholarship Fund

Nikos Monoyios grew up in Athens, Greece and Valerie Brackett was raised in Plains, MT. The only things we inherited from our parents were good values and a belief in education. We established this four-year scholarship for graduating students in Lemhi County in 2012 to enable them to become independent and productive members of society and help others.
The Brackett/Monoyios Salmon, Idaho Scholarship is in the amount of $5,000.00 per year for a maximum of four years. This scholarship is open to students from Salmon High School, Salmon Alternative School, Leadore High School, or any other Lemhi County school including home schooled students. Applicant must have a GPA of at least 3.75 on a scale of 4.0 and be in the top 10% of competing applicants. ACT composite score must be 26 or above.
Bolton/McKinney Vocational Scholarship
Deadline – April 20th
Applicant must be a graduating Senior in good standing of SJSHS with a GPA of 2.0 or more. Applicant must be a member of FFA for at least two years or has taken two years of Agricultural Classes.
Brittney and E.J. Infanger Champion of Character Scholarship
Deadline – April 20th
E.J. Infanger was a recipient of the National NAIA Football Champion of Character Award during his National Championship playoff game for Morningside College. Awards are based on the core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership. He served as a student senator for the University of South Dakota where he received his Masters of Public Administration. Brittney Infanger also exemplified these champion of character qualities in and out of sports. As one of the early leaders of Salmon Drug-Free Youth she exemplified kindness and inclusiveness. She later served as a USU Ambassador, Hospitality intern for the London Olympic games, received a degree in Finance from Utah State University and became a commercial pilot. This scholarship honors the memories of Brittney and E.J. Infanger. Brittney and E.J. are children of Jim Bob and Sharon Infanger.
Clyde Phillips Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of Clyde Phillips through the generosity of Gene Hussey. Community service and involvement will be considered.
The Herbert W. Bradley and Ramona W. Bradley Scholarship
Deadline – April 20th
Applicant must be a Senior in good standing at Salmon High School and must be accepted to a college or university. Applicant must have taken advanced coursework in math and/or science.
Kelly Winton Idaho College or University Scholarship
Deadline – April 20th
Kelly Winton was a beloved teacher and counselor at Salmon junior and senior high schools. Initially, she taught science at the Junior High and then obtained a degree in counseling and became the High School counselor. Kelly passed away from cancer in 2009.
This is a 4-year renewable scholarship. Applicant must be a Senior in good standing at Salmon High School or Salmon Alternative School (2.5 or better GPA) and must plan on attending an Idaho college or university.
Kelly Winton Vocational-Technical Scholarship

Applicant must be a Senior in good standing at Salmon High School or Salmon Alternative School (2.5 or better GPA) and must be accepted at a Vocational/Technical school.
Ridihalgh Vocational Scholarship
Deadline – April 20th
This Scholarship is for students accepted to a vocational or training program and must have a high school diploma or GED.
Sheriff Baker Public Service Award
Deadline – April 20th
This scholarship is for seniors in good standing at Salmon Jr. Sr. High School or Salmon Alternative school with a GPA of 3.5 or more.
Tiffanie McAllister Scholarship
Deadline – April 20th
This scholarship award can be used for educational expenses at a college, trade school, or to fund a life adventure. Applicant must be a graduate of Salmon High School and have a GPA of 2.5 or better. See the attached scholarship application for more information.
Scholarships available for graduating seniors and SJSH graduates who are continuing students at vo-techs colleges or universities
Idaho Outfitters and Guides (IOGA)
Deadline – April 20th
The Salmon Chapter of the Idaho Outfitters and Guides Association would like to give back to the communities that Fran Tonsmeire and Michelle Zettel devoted so much time and effort to through this scholarship. Applicant must reside in Lemhi or Custer County and be a senior in good standing at Salmon High School, Salmon Alternative School, Leadore High School, Challis High School or an accredited Home School program. This scholarship is also open to college students. A GPA of 2.50 or greater is required.
Hans Koenig Memorial Scholarship
Deadline – April 20th
This scholarship was established by the staff of The Upper Salmon Basin Watershed Program in memory of Hans Koenig. It has been made possible by the sacrifice and caring of multiple donors. Applicant must be a qualifying High School student, including Home Schooled students OR a student presently enrolled in college, university or technical school. GPA 2.30 or greater (provide official transcript).
Nep and Mary Ellen Lynch Scholarship

This scholarship was established through the generosity of Nep and Mary Ellen Lynch. Student must have a 2.5 GPA or above.
Nep and Mary Ellen Lynch Vocational-Technical Scholarship

Scholarships available only for SJSH graduates who are continuing students at a college or university
Kay Stone Memorial Scholarship (Nursing or Education majors only)
Deadline – April 20th
This scholarship is for Salmon High School graduates who have completed their second year or more of college in the areas of education or nursing. You must include an official college or university transcript with your cumulative grade point average. See application.
The Ken and Diane Hill Scholarship Fund
Deadline – April 20th
Ken and Diane Hill owned and operated the North Fork Store and Cafe for many years. The store and cafe became a popular spot for locals, boaters and travelers and was a successful business. After Diane’s passing, Ken moved upriver to Salmon. He was actively involved in numerous non-profit organizations and local government within his beloved community of Salmon. Ken was an active Board member of Lemhi County Humane Society, and served as a Salmon City Councilman, where he was re-elected three times. He also joined the Board of Directors of the Lemhi Regional Land Trust and served in many capacities at that organization. Ken actively supported the Salmon School Garden, the Salmon Arts Council, River Discover, Lemhi County Historical Society and many other community organizations.
