Lois Denny was a teacher in the Salmon School District for many years. She taught science and girls PE at Salmon Junior High, first grade at Pioneer School, and was the librarian and English Teacher at Brooklyn School. Joseph Denny worked for the US Forest Service. Lois Denny and her husband, Joseph, had no children. Lois’s husband preceded her in death, and when she died, her estate was bequeathed to Salmon Education Foundation to be used for medical expenses for students. The stipulation was that these funds become available after all other funds have been exhausted.
Parents can apply for funding from the Lois and Joe Denny Memorial Fund for medical expenses not covered by medicaid, insurance or any other source. Children must be students in Salmon School District #291.
